20-year-old midfielder Michael Klass signed a professional contract in 2017 at Roots Hall after being released by Queens Park Rangers.
The stylish midfielder made his first-team debut in the Checkatrade Trophy against Gillingham in August 2017
Both his appearances in the 2017/18 campaign came in that competition, with the other coming at Roots Hall against Reading U21s.
More minutes came during the following in which he made 13 appearances in total, 10 of which were in League One.
The highlight of that season was a match-turning display in the televised fixture against Portsmouth at Roots Hall, when Klass’ introduction helped Blues to battle back from a three-goal deficit and claim a crucial point in the club’s fight for survival.
Klass joined National League Bromley on loan in August 2019 and extended his stay in south-east until February 2020.
