Seaden, who is the son of former Blues player John, has regularly been seen at Roots Hall warming up with Oxley and Nathan Bishop, his predecessor as youth team goalkeeper.

Having joined Blues from Rayleigh Boys at the age of 13, he made his senior football debut as a 16-year-old in the Southern League for Cambridge City away to Ashford Town (Middlesex), featuring in a 2-1 victory in December 2017.

The impressive custodian, who will expect to be the regular U23s goalkeeper this season showcasing his superb shot-stopping talents and ability to exploit teams on the counter-attack with a quick throw or a missile-like goal-kick, also featured on loan with Colchester United U18s in 2017/18, helping the U’s to reach the Quarter-Finals of The FA Youth Cup, and Isthmian League club Great Wakering Rovers last season.
