Mark Oxley has been the club’s outright number one since joining in 2016 from Scottish club Hibernian and has now featured over 100 times for Blues.
In his first season at Roots Hall the goalkeeper missed the entire second half of the campaign due to injury, but he bounced back the following year in terrific fashion, keeping 17 clean sheets and featuring 51 times throughout the 2017/18 season.
A string of stunning performances saw him crowned the Supporters’ Player of the Year as well as the Players’ Player of the Season, and he signed a new three-year deal in June 2018.
Oxley, originally from Sheffield, started his career at Rotherham United before joining Hull City where he subsequently spent time on loan at Walsall, Grimsby Town, Burton Albion & Oldham Athletic respectively.
