Harry Lennon signed for Southend on a three-year deal from Charlton Athletic for a nominal fee in 2018.
The centre back, who graduated from the Addicks youth system, made six starts and 12 appearances in total for Charlton in his final season.
He got a taste for League One football on two separate loan spells at Gillingham, firstly at the end of 2014 and then again in 2015. He was recalled to South London and played 19 times in the Championship, scoring in draws against Bristol City and Blackburn Rovers.
Lennon has been extremely unlucky with injuries at Blues, fracturing his toe on his debut before fracturing his fibula on his return against Walsall a few months later.
He got more game time in his second season before fracturing his fibula in the other leg in December 2019 whilst scoring away to Bolton Wanderers.
