Midfielder
Bio
Debut:
Zevieyan Makangu is a second-year midfielder.
Danny Heath: "Zevieyan has only been at the Club for a short period of time after joining us from Barnet. Zevieyan quickly showed his ability and potential early on during his trial period with us. Zevieyan is a hard-working box-to-box midfielder who can effectively get the team playing forwards with good quality on his passes and also his ability to dribble and run with the ball. Out of possession Zevieyan shows intensity and controlled aggression to regain the ball back quickly to deny the opposition time and space."
Zevieyan: "During my time at Southend so far I’ve learnt so much as a player being able to play in different positions, new formations and with different players which I can say has improved my game massively. Before I joined Southend, I’ve been at quite a few different teams. I I started playing football around the age of nine when I was playing for Cheshunt. After two years I got signed to West Ham and I was there from age 12-14. Being at West Ham helped me become the player I am today as I was taught football differently to my previous team. After that I joined Barking for two years which I can say was very fun as we were all a family. After those 2 years I joined Barnet for a year, now I’m at Southend and I can’t wait to become my best self at this club and push myself into the first team."
