Luca Sorrentino is a first-year goalkeeper.

Danny Heath: "Luca is an excellent goalkeeper that shows good quality with his shot stopping and his ability to play out from the back with good quality on his short and long-range distribution both from his hands and feet. He can begin counter attacks quickly and effectively. Luca is also a positive influence on the pitch as he is always constantly talking to his team mates to either encourage them or organise them."

Luca: "My previous clubs include Cockfosters, Peterborough and Tottenham. I’ve recently joined Southend and have spent the last couple of months training with the youth team. I have found my time at Southend to be the most enjoyable out of all my previous clubs. The environment is the best part of the club with players and staff all wanting you to succeed."
