Having amassed more than 120 appearances across the Championship, League One, and League Two, 24-year-old Simpson arrives on loan from Port Vale until January 10, 2027.

After rejecting a professional rugby union contract at Leicester Tigers aged 16, Simpson progressed through the ranks at Ipswich Town – where he was coached by Kieron Dyer and Adem Atay – before making his League One debut for the Tractor Boys in February 2020.

The forward scored his first career goal while on loan at Swindon Town in August 2021, going on to net 11 times in 30 appearances in Wiltshire, before being recalled in January 2022.

Simpson then moved to Championship outfit Huddersfield Town in September 2022, where he made nine league appearances before joining Northampton Town on loan in 2023/24. He scored six goals in 44 appearances for the Cobblers, prompting Stevenage to sign him up on a permanent deal in the following summer.

After a loan spell at Colchester United, Simpson earned a call-up to the St Kitts & Nevis national team, where he assisted on debut against Trinidad & Tobago before netting three days later against Grenada.

Having swapped Stevenage for Port Vale in the summer, Simpson made four appearances for Valiants before linking back up with St Kitts & Nevis during the international window, for whom he scored in a 3-3 draw with Cuba in the Concacaf Nations League.
