Sam Austin joined Southend United after departing Notts County following the 2024/25 season.

The midfielder captained Kidderminster Harriers before joining the Magpies in 2022.

He led the National League for assists in 2022/23, helping Notts County earn promotion back to the EFL via the play-offs.
