The 21-year-old joined on a one month loan deal in September 2026 as predominately a right back but also a midfielder.

An FA Youth Cup winner with the Hammers in 2023, Battrum signed professional terms with the East London outfit in May 2023. Having captained the Under-18s on five occasions, Battrum has established himself as a regular in West Ham’s Under-21s outfit, and played every game during their runs to the EFL Trophy Round of 16 and National League Cup Final last season.

Eight games at Braintree Town in the National League gave the full-back his first taste of senior league football, punctuated with a standout display for the Iron in their 3-2 defeat at Roots Hall last season, in which he scored and assisted.

Battrum featured in National League Cup action for the Hammers earlier the season, scoring the winner in a 2-1 victory of Worthing in August.
