Debut: Vs Worthing, 27/10/26
Patrick joined on a season-long loan deal from Forest Green Rovers after scoring 46 goals in 255 appearances in the EFL, with particularly prolific campaigns for Tranmere Rovers and Carlisle United.
After starting his career at Beaconsfield SYCOB, Patrick progressed through non-league via Kidderminster Harriers to sign for Barnsley in 2016. A three-year stay at Bradford City would follow, including loans with Yeovil Town and Wrexham, before Patrick’s first spell with Carlisle United, during which he scored seven goals in 44 appearances for the Cumbrians.
After a brief spell with Burton Albion, Patrick returned to Brunton Park and enjoyed a prolific end to the 2021/22 campaign, scoring nine goals in 20 appearances. He followed that up with a crucial contribution in Carlisle’s promotion to EFL League One, when he netted the equaliser against Stockport County in the Play-Off Final before his team won the eventual penalty shootout 5-4.
Patrick ultimately opted to remain in League Two, heading back south to join Sutton United. He announced his arrival with a brace on debut against Notts County, but after one season with the Amber, he joined Tranmere Rovers, where he enjoyed his best form of his career to date. In 92 appearances, Patrick scored 21 goals and assisted a further 12.
The 30-year-old forward arrives in South Essex having made 10 appearances for Forest Green this season, netting in their 4-2 defeat to Hartlepool United earlier this month.
