McAdam joined on a two-year deal with a Club option for a third in August 2026, upon the expiry of his contract at Nottingham Forrest.

The defender was an FA Youth Cup finalist with Forests’ Under-18s in 2021/22, playing both the full 90 minutes in the semi-final win over Chelsea and final defeat to Manchester United.

His senior debut came in the EFL Trophy for Nottingham Forest Under-21s, featuring in a 2-0 win over Carlisle United. He also played a prominent role in the U21s’ Premier League International Cup success, playing every minute as the Trees beat Ajax, Monaco, Athletic Bilbao and Lyon to win the tournament.

After impressing at youth level, McAdam’s next senior experience came on loan at Mansfield Town, appearing 15 times and scoring in the Stags’ FA Cup Second Round win over Accrington Stanley.

He then swapped Nottinghamshire for Northamptonshire, joining Northampton Town until the end of the 2025/26 campaign. He made eight more appearances in League One, assisting goals against his former club Mansfield and Wigan Athletic.
