Popoola was the first signing of the Kieron Dyer era after joining in June 2026 from Maidenhead United.
The 22-year-old registered more than 20 goal contributions last season in a little over 40 appearances.
Having won the Magpies' Goal of the Month award in December 2025 with a stunning strike against Hampton & Richmond, Popoola's quick feet have been causing problems for defences since joining from Buxton FC.
Having started his career in the Watford youth system, Popoola has gone on to make appearances for the Bournemouth youth system before plying his trade in the National League North with several clubs, including a brief stint in the National League South with Tonbridge Angels.
