Debut:
Jonathan Duckett is a University of Essex graduate, who has now reached the landmark of 20 years in professional football.
Duckett has worked in various roles to support teams in all of the top four English divisions as well as international level.
He started his career at Colchester United in 2006 as a first team performance analyst and over a 10-year period finished as Head of Recruitment.
In 2017, Duckett moved to The FA and worked within the Talent ID department to support senior international selection for Sir Gareth Southgate’s squads over 2018 World Cup and 2021 European Championships. He supported the design of player profiling information which was later taken on by FIFA. Whilst at The FA, Duckett completed his UEFA A Licence and Advanced Youth Award coaching qualifications.
In 2021, Duckett joined his boyhood club, Norwich City as Head of Technical Scouting, and his scouting work led to a promotion of leading Player Insights department. His work was instrumental in redesigning how the club use data in the scouting process.
Over the previous two seasons, Duckett returned for a second spell at Colchester United and became Head of Recruitment.
