On 2 August 2024, we announced the signing of right-back George Wind on a two-year deal with a club option.

Wind joined from Billericay Town, where he made well over 100 appearances for the Isthmian Premier League club.

He previously played for another Essex outfit in Bowers & Pitsea, where he made his senior debut just 16, joining Billericay two years later.

At New Lodge, Wind quickly became a fans’ favourite and capped off his time there by winning Players’ Player of the Year in 2023/24.

Wind is currently out on loan at Aveley having spent an earlier part of the 2025/26 season at Hornchurch.
