Darren Currie was appointed in October 2021 as assistant to Kevin Maher.

He made over 600 appearances during a 20-year playing career, reaching three figures for both Barnet and Wycombe Wanderers, going onto play for the likes of Ipswich Town, Luton Town and Chesterfield.

After ending his playing career at Dagenham & Redbridge, Currie was briefly their caretaker manager in 2015 and then took charge of Barnet between 2018 and 2020.

He led the Bees to the play-offs in his first season, also guiding them to the fourth round of the FA Cup where they were narrowly beaten by Brentford.
