Cox joined on a two-year contract with a club option for a third in June 2026. 

The 20-year-old joined following the expiry of his contract at Derby County, where he came through the Rams’ academy and captained their Under-21s. 

A left-footer capable of playing both centrally and on the left side of the backline, the Welshman turned down offers to sign for clubs in higher divisions to become Kieron Dyer’s fourth signing of the summer.

Tall in stature and aggressive in challenges, Cox’s development through Derby’s academy has been assisted through loan spells at Wealdstone, Walsall, and most recently Solihull Moors. 

The defender has also represented his country on the international stage, making multiple appearances across Wales' age groups from Under-15s through to Under-21s.
