Southend United Community Foundation is delighted to announce that A-Plus Security has extended its partnership with the Foundation for the 2026/27 season, following a successful first year supporting community programmes across Southend and South Essex.

A-Plus Security first partnered with Southend United Community Foundation (SUCF) during the 2025/26 season as part of the company’s commitment to investing in and supporting its local community.

Following a year which saw the Foundation engage more than 6,000 people across over 20 programmes, A-Plus Security has committed to continuing its support for a further season.

The partnership provides valuable investment towards SUCF’s work across education, youth development, health and wellbeing, community engagement and football development, helping the Foundation use the power of Southend United Football Club to create opportunities and improve lives throughout the region.

During 2025/26, more than 6,000 people engaged with the Foundation, with sustained participation across schools, education, community sport, health and wellbeing programmes generating tens of thousands of individual engagement opportunities.

Highlights from the year included:

136 young people accessing the Foundation’s Post-16 Education Programme, combining education, football development, work experience and personal development.
Education retention rates of between 91% and 100%, alongside positive progression into higher education, employment and international scholarship opportunities.
Premier League Kicks exceeding its annual participation target, providing free positive activities, workshops and development opportunities for young people across local communities.
Hundreds of children receiving targeted mental health and wellbeing support through Strong Minds, Active Lives.
Thousands of primary school children participating in programmes including Premier League Primary Stars and Joy of Moving, supporting physical activity, confidence, resilience and personal development.
Continued development of the Foundation’s football pathway, creating opportunities for talented young players to progress through the Southend United system.
Continued delivery of programmes supporting older residents, families, people with disabilities and individuals experiencing social isolation.

The partnership demonstrates how support from local businesses can contribute to far more than simply providing opportunities to participate in sport.
