WHAT WE'RE DOING ABOUT IT

Gilbert & Rose Stand – Toilets, Water and Facilities

The Gilbert & Rose Stand attracted some of the most consistent concerns, particularly around toilets, running water and catering facilities. We recognise that the current standard of facilities is simply not good enough.

We began designing a major West Stand upgrade in October 2025, but progressing through design, planning and building control has taken considerably longer than we'd hoped.

Given the urgency of the water issues, we've separated that element from the wider project and are installing a new water system to address pressure problems affecting both the Gilbert & Rose Stand and We Finance Any Car South Stands. We're targeting completion by Christmas.

The wider modernisation, including refurbishment of the toilets and internal facilities, is planned for the summer off-season.

In the meantime, we're also widening the West concourse by lowering the existing raised area, have introduced two self-service beer taps to improve service speed, and have begun converting the former ticket office into a club-shop matchday outlet and first aid room.

These improvements are part of a much broader investment programme aimed at bringing the Gilbert & Rose Stand up to the standard supporters deserve.

Food & Beverage

At 5.3/10, this was clearly our weakest area, and we agree that significant improvement is needed.

We've already outsourced our hospitality catering, with encouraging early feedback, but our general admission offering remains some way short of where we'd like it to be.

In the short term, we're focusing on what we can improve within the constraints of our existing facilities. That includes introducing food trucks outside the ground, which have been well received, exploring additional vendors, and reviewing the products we sell to ensure they're suited to the equipment and facilities currently available.

We'll also be seeking specialist catering advice to help shape our future offering.

Ultimately, much of the improvement we want to deliver will depend on investment in modern catering facilities, enabling us to offer a better range of products, improved quality and faster service. This is a central part of our planned stadium improvements.

Solopress North Bank

We've submitted plans to redevelop the area behind the Solopress North Bank and are awaiting planning permission.

We're continuing to explore interim options, although there are practical constraints on what we can deliver without the necessary approvals.

Our longer-term ambition is to create a much better space for supporters to gather, socialise and enjoy the matchday experience, and we'll keep you updated as those plans progress.

Climatec Group East Stand and We Finance Any Car South Stand

Work also continues behind the scenes on plans for a new East Stand. This is a significant development project which will inevitably take more time to deliver.

We recognise that space is particularly restricted in the We Finance Any Car South Stand, but as part of the East Stand development we'll also be looking at opportunities to improve facilities for We Finance Any Car South South Stand supporters, particularly around the south-east corner of the ground.
