#PACKROOTSHALL AGAINST DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE

10 March 2022

Next up for Southend United is the visit of Dagenham & Redbridge in what promises to be a hotly contested local derby on Tuesday 15th March – 7.45pm KO.

This the second of three consecutive home league games sees a Daggers side make the short trip from east London down to south Essex for the first time since 2014.

Blues will be relishing the opportunity to get one back on their opponents after twice suffering defeat to Daryl McMahon’s side this season, once in the league and the other in the FA Trophy at the Chigwell Construction Stadium.

And after picking up three points against Grimsby Town to extend their unbeaten league run to 13 games, Blues will be in confident mood in trying to keep that going and looking to close the gap on the opposition to two points should they get another win.

Blues currently sit 12th in the league standings, Dagenham two places above them in 10th.

Since Maher took over as Blues boss they have picked up 36 points from 21 games while also remaining unbeaten in the league this calendar year. In eight Tuesday night games at home this season, Blues have won six, drawn one and lost one.

It’s no surprise that attendances are on the rise once again, and your support and inspiration to this team of players and coaching staff is not to be underestimated!

7,205 fans packed Roots Hall against Grimsby. This upcoming Vanarama National League clash promises to surpass that figure, as once again we do battle on a Tuesday night under the lights.

Make sure you’re there and let’s #PackRootsHall!
