Many of you will be aware of the Shrimpers Trust initiative to help Ukrainian refugees.

To date, the scarves have only been available via online purchase, but on Friday we are pleased to advise that a limited number will be for sale at the ground.

A unique scarf has been designed which is available to purchase for £20. This money is being used to fund the cost of bringing one refugee to safe passage in the UK.

So, for EVERY scarf purchased YOU are personally helping to bring ONE person to a place of safety away from the horrors of the war that continues to ravage through their country. With the number of refugees now exceeding four million and continuing to grow daily, the need for help is huge.

To date the response by Southend fans to online sales has been fantastic and real help is now already being given from the scarf sales to date. The manufacturer World Retro has kept purchasers up to date regarding progress and another update will be issued shortly.

As a further boost to this unique campaign - and we hope to increase the number of refugees our fans are helping to well over 500 - scarves will be available for sale at the ground before the match v Wealdstone on Friday.

The Shrimpers Trust have assembled a small team of helpers to manage this, which will include former players Duncan Jupp, Peter Daley and Steve Clark.

There will be a stall in the club shop and scarves will also be sold outside the East and West Stands plus hospitality areas. A collection facility will also be available for those who simply instead would like to donate.

Scarf sales will be by cash only but they can still be purchased online by card at:

This is yet another Shrimpers Trust initiative which is making a real difference and as a club we are fully behind it. Thank you to all supporters who are helping to make it a success.
