Southend United are delighted to announce goalkeeper Collin Andeng Ndi has signed his first professional contract.
The 18-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal which includes the option of a further year.
Andeng Ndi has been training with the club since the start of the year, featuring for the U18s and the U23s in that time.
He was pivotal in the U23s Premier League Qualifying triumph against Stevenage, saving two penalties in the shoot-out last month.
And he will continue that meteoric rise in his short time at the club by appearing in the first-team matchday squad this afternoon against Halifax Town following injury to number one Steve Arnold, who dislocated a finger in training this week.
