Blues currently have several young prospects out on loan.
We’ve looked at how the players are doing at their respective clubs.
Damaray Anyadike and Ergis Shala - Harlow Town
Anyadike lined up on the right-wing for Harlow, playing 90 minutes in their 2-2 draw with Thame United on Saturday whilst Shala did not feature for the Hawks.
Jon Benton – Aveley
Jon Benton joined up with the Thurrock side on Saturday and made an immediate impact with the Millers. Benton managed two assists but could not stop Aveley from defeat, as his side fell 4-2 to Coggleshall Town.
Reiss Chandler and Jimmy Wallace - Bishop’s Stortford
Both Chandler and Wallace were unused subs as Bishop’s Stortford won 2-1 at home to Enfield Town.
Last weekend Chandler and Wallace both started and played 90 minutes in Stortford’s Buildbase FA Trophy First Round win over Chipstead.
Tommy Davis and Lewis Gard - Heybridge Swifts
Former Southend Player and Manager Steve Tilson handed Tommy Davis his Heybridge Swifts debut on Saturday, joining up with academy teammate Lewis Gard. The youngsters couldn’t, however, prevent Heybridge from defeat, as they lost 5-0 to AFC Sudbury.
On Wednesday night the duo both completed 90 minutes for the Swifts in an impressive 7-0 thrashing of Romford in the Isthmian League North Division, Gard also getting himself on the scoresheet with his side’s fifth.
Alan McCormack, another former player, is also at the club having recently taken up the role of assistant manager.
O’Shane Stewart - Welling United
O’Shane Stewart was an 81st-minute substitute as Welling overcame Tonbridge Angels 1-0 in the National League South. The win moved The Wings up to 14th in the table.
