Head coach Kevin Maher provides the latest updates on members of his squad who have been out injured recently or were injury concerns after last weekend’s FA Cup First Round game.

While there was good news for Jason Demetriou, Harry Phillips, Rhys Murphy and others, it was bad news for Simeon Akinola following results on his scan.

Jason Demetriou

"He’s been out on the grass this week. He’ll be available for selection which is good news, someone who knows the game as well as Jason and he’s a good footballer. Brilliant to have him out on the grass and we want to make sure he’s available going forward as well so we’ll look at him today and tomorrow.”

Harry Phillips

"He will train today. Then you add Abu Ogogo too so we’ve got a few more selection headaches so a few come into the thought process of who’s going to play.”

Rhys Murphy

"Hopefully [he’s going to be OK]. Again, today we’ll assess him and see how he comes through with it. Fingers crossed he will be OK.

Nathan Ralph

"Hopefully he will be on the training pitch today. We need to see how he is because he’s been out for a little while. It will be good news if we can get him through. He’s going to be a big part for us.”

Josh Coulson and Tom Clifford

"They’re still a bit off. We’ll have to keep an eye on them.”

Simeon Akinola

"He’s going to be out for longer term by the looks of things. I don’t know [if he will play again this season]. It depends on his recovery.”

Kacper Lopata (on international duty)

"He will be back in tomorrow [Friday] and we’ll assess him. If he doesn’t make it then he doesn’t make it, but the plan is for him to available. He was very keen, I have to say. The attitude of the two [loan] lads has been brilliant. Kacper is keen to make sure he’s back in time and to make himself available to play.”
