Blues midfielder Jack Bridge is set for a spell on the sidelines with a knee problem.

The 26-year-old was taken off at half-time during Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Woking at Roots Hall.

And Blues boss Kevin Maher is expecting Bridge to be out of action for at least six weeks after undergoing the surgery.

"Bridgey has had the problem for a little while now but as soon as we found out he was at risk of causing long term damage we knew there was no choice but for him to have the operation now,” said Maher.

"He’s had it this week and the best case scenario is that he will be back in six weeks but we’ll have him back fitter for the end of the season."

Wishing Jack a speedy recovery!
