Mark Molesley provides the latest ahead of Saturday’s game.
The Blues boss revealed that Simeon Akinola should be available after a back injury kept him out of Tuesday night's defeat at home to Tranmere.
“We're hoping that Sim’s got a chance of being available.
“He's carried on his rehab work and we're hoping that he might be able to play some part.
“If not then he's not far away for the following week.”
Jacob Mellis and Terrell Egbri
“Jacob’s getting fitter and stronger all the time.
“He had 45 minutes in an U23’s match on Tuesday so that is great, he's ticked that box off so he’s pushing for a start.”
“With Terrell it’s a delicate one. He’s a lot closer now but Saturday might be too soon.
“With another game pencilled in next week hopefully that will make it a bit safer for his return.
“Having said that, he got through 45 minutes, same as Jacob, so both of them are in a position to push. But both would probably benefit for another game having had the period out that they have.
“Another week would give them a lot better chance of being available. We’re just trying to get them in their best possible shape.”
“Louis Walsh unfortunately has been ill the last week so again he's another one who we are building back up again.
“We've got a game pencilled in next week behind closed doors to continue to build people’s fitness that need it, top other people up to keep everything fit and firing for that shirt.”
“James will hopefully play a part in the game but until he gets a bit more training behind him it would be too dangerous to put him in. But he’s on his way back to us very soon.”
