22-year-old Shaun Hobson has been nominated for the Sky Bet League Two player of the month award for February.
Having joined Blues from non-league side Weymouth, he has adapted quickly to EFL football and become a mainstay in Mark Molesley's squad.
The defender was a vital part of the team that conceded just two goals in the five games in February and also scored his first league goal with a superb volley to open the scoring against Forest Green Rovers.
Mark Molesley: "Shaun is one of those that keeps his head down and works hard every day.
"He's had a good run of games and he's always looking to be the best he can possibly be.
"His mentality and attitude for the game is great and I think he deserves that recognition and to be shortlisted.
"Any one of our defenders could have been shortlisted if you look at our form in the last six or seven games. Hopefully Shaun can get the award and take it on behalf of the team's good out of possession, defensively displays."
Hobson is up against Ricardo Santos (Bolton), Jamille Matt (Forest Green), and one of Tranmere's strikers James Vaughan.
The winner will be announced later this week. Good luck Shaun!
