Southend United have rebranded their audio and video service to Blues TV.
Read on to find out all you need to know about what’s on offer ahead of the 2021/22 season.
Why the name change?
Although Blues will remain on the EFL Digital platform, non-EFL clubs cannot use the ‘iFollow’ brand.
Will domestic and overseas video streaming of matches be available for the forthcoming season?
At the minute, no, but the club are exploring potential options to provide a service for midweek matches to fans in the UK. The National League do not permit clubs to stream matches overseas, so unfortunately that will not possible.
What about audio commentary?
BBC Essex will continue to provide the club with live audio commentary of all first-team matches.
If I subscribe, what do I get?
As well as match commentary, subscribers will have exclusive access to extended match highlights, full pre-match press conferences, interviews and features and more, sometimes including Academy highlights and first team training footage.
I previously had an iFollow subscription, do I need to do anything to join Blues TV?
No. Your subscription will automatically be transferred to the new service.
How much will it cost?
£4.49 a month. A seasonal pass at £45 is also available now.
How can I subscribe?
Please click here.
What else do I need to know?
The National League stipulate that clubs cannot publish any match footage on their own digital channels until Monday following a Saturday match, or 10pm the following day for non-Saturday matches. By comparison, the EFL permit clubs to publish match footage in the early hours the day following the match. The club apologise for any frustration this may cause.
Do I still contact the EFL if I have a billing/technical issue?
Yes. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
I’d like to ask the club a question regarding Blues TV. Who can I speak to?
Please send your query to email@example.com.
