Phil Brown reveals the latest team news ahead of this weekend’s visit to Exeter City.
The Blues manager revealed Alan McCormack and John White could be back available for selection, along with Simeon Akinola.
However, the news wasn’t as positive with regards to Timothee Dieng and Jacob Mellis.
Alan McCormack and John White
“Alan McCormack and John White being in the treatment room [recently], they are two senior players that I would dearly loved to have had out against Crawley Town.
“Both of them have applied themselves in training this week and fingers crossed they will be somewhere near [fit].
“I can’t say that they will be playing at the moment, but they will certainly be playing some part in the squad and they will be travelling.
“I need their influence on and off the field of play. Especially where John is concerned because he knows how I work. He’s come through three sessions this week with flying colours so fingers crossed he’ll be fighting fit to start the game on Saturday if selected.”
“He’s been training this week and he’s been quite impressive as well.”
“That came back as a grade one so Tim will probably be out for 10 days, maybe two weeks.
“Will he play any part of the season? Hopefully by the end of it he will be around for the last couple of games.
“He’s a big player for us, he’s almost three positions in one.”
“He’s still injured and he’s not available to me. I don’t think he will be available to me between now and the end of the season
“I haven’t really seen any of Jacob apart from lying on a treatment table.”
