Ademipo Odubeko got the visitors off to a flyer by scoring in just the second minute with a low drive before Stephen Humphrys scored a spectacular leveler a little over 10 minutes later.
Both sides had chances to grab the win but it was West Ham that went away with the points as they scored twice late on to seal the victory.
Odubeko scored another well-taken goal in front of the watching Hammers manager, David Moyes, before Conor Coventry rounded off the scoring by lobbing the ball into Harry Seaden’s net.
