8 September 2020

We are pleased to now be in a position to launch and go on sale immediately with 2020/21 Season Cards to current Season Card holders.

These are of course strange and unusual times still as everyone moves forward and adapts to the significant changes to everyday life as we knew it.

In a footballing sense, we have entered into a new and exciting era under Mark Molesley and his backroom team; Saturday’s performance against Gillingham evident with lots of ‘green shoots’, despite the result.

This weekend the club embarks on its first Sky Bet League Two campaign in five years, following relegation from League One last term, with the visit of Harrogate Town. But football is not as we know it, and we're going to miss our loyal and passionate supporters singing loud and proud getting behind the team.

As the pandemic continues, we are finding new ways to adapt and football is doing that too, with initially ‘behind-closed-doors’ games taking place before ‘socially distant seating’ inside stadiums with reduced capacities is allowed.

We all hope, of course, for a return to full capacity offerings soon.

Please read on below for some critical information relating to Season Cards, stadium seating, ‘bubbles’ and also the process of renewing a 20/21 Season Card.

A Socially Distant Venue

The 2020/21 season might also end up being looked back on with some strange memories with supporters watching on from afar for the time being.

Making sure Roots Hall is ready as a socially distant venue to allow for fans to return and enjoy live football in a safe environment is a priority.

As with being socially distant, we may not see away fans at Roots Hall for a period, likewise neither will Blues fans be travelling around the country to support the team in their superb numbers for the time being.

No away fans does give us potential to have more home fans with space being freed up in the North Bank.

Initially we are capping the number of Season Card holders to 2,250 Season Card Holders to meet safety requirements with them on sale to current Season Card holders only. This may change when we know more regarding Season Card holder bubbles and we will communicate this via the usual club channels if so.

What will become clear as fans renew Season Cards for the new season is that we will have to work harder to give you the seat you want.

Following government guidance, a maximum of six people from different households (when outdoors) are permitted to sit together inside the stadium.

We wish to encourage you to form a ‘bubble’ as this is the way you'll all be able to sit together, but also allows the club the best opportunity for as many fans as possible to come and watch when possible.

With these protocols imposed we are having to use an ‘alternate row’ system when it comes to seating arrangements as well as working with the stadium to give, in many places, a one-way system. As a result of this, aisle seats are unavailable.

The alternate row procedure means no seats will automatically be reserved, as not every row will be available. All seats will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis but we will select your preferred seat for when we can open with a full capacity once again.

Helping Us To Help You

We will of course work with you to get the best seat available if your current seat isn’t available, and we ask that by coming into the Ticket Office to renew we can show you the availability we have. Hopefully for the short-term you can have a seat you want.

As part of the package we will reserve your preferred seat for when we can return to full capacity.

To redeem your 2020/21 Season Card please complete the enclosed form and return to the Blues Ticket Office when you come to renew.

Please note that to adhere to Track & Trace requirements, it is imperative that we sell each Season Card to everyone on their own account, so please help us by ensuring that each person looking to purchase a 20/21 Season Card has a ticketing account setup ahead of coming into the Ticket Office to purchase.

The Purchasing Process

All sales will be in person at the Ticket Office or by calling on 08444 770077. We will shortly be announcing some amended Ticket Office opening hours for this week to give as many people as possible the chance to renew a Season Card ahead of Saturday.

As with the regulations, we'll be limiting access inside the Ticket Office and we ask that anyone entering wears a face mask and uses the hand sanitisers provided to ensure the safety of staff and other fans.

Inside the Ticket Office you will find a one-way system in place with socially distanced queue spots.

Please allow for extra time when coming to the Ticket Office as each transaction may take longer than normal due to discussing the best seating options available.

We also ask that any queues outside are kept socially distant and would also like to stress that Roots Hall is an open car park with other cars using the facility.

Attend Blues’ games as a family with the ‘Family’ season card!

The 2020/21 season sees the continuation of the ‘Family’ Season Card offer at Roots Hall. This offer allows One Adult and One Child (U16) to watch live football action for just £370.

This ticket is available in our Family Area and the South Lower Stands.

This package has all the features shown above and as with all standard Junior & Child Season Cards, the child in this package is enrolled into our Junior Blues Membership (upgrade to the JB+ Membership is available)

The club is placing a huge focus on making matchdays a more enjoyable experience all round, and with that we are looking to build an even bigger family fan base.

With the introduction of the ‘Community Corner’ where there are plenty fun activities to take part in and opportunities to meet players, while also increasing our unique 'Matchday Experiences' for lucky individuals, the club has looked to improve the feeling and atmosphere around the ground – this has helped the club obtain the Family Excellence award.

Despite the current climate and restrictions, we are already looking at ways to further enhance and add to these elements to keep creating a fun, friendly and family-based atmosphere, making it an inviting place to come and watch some live football when possible.

Get onboard and take up the ‘Family’ Season Card offer this season!
