Bwomono returns from International duty for Robins clash

15 October 2020

Team news ahead of Cheltenham Town.

Mark Molesley brings the latest update on a number of players...

John White and Alan McCormack

"They’re both back on the grass but we need to be so careful with going too early with them, or anyone, because we can’t afford anymore hiccups or people coming back and not quite being 100 per cent ready which could lead to a setback.

"Look, we know how important they are and we want them back as quickly as we can but we need to make sure they arrive back and stay back.

"We’re about to go into a really hectic schedule as well and going a day or week too early could be detrimental.

"We’re wishing them back as quickly as we can, but I’m sure when they arrive back they’ll be ready and able."

Elvis Bwomono

"Elvis has landed, he’s back so he’ll be taking part in training tomorrow.

"It’s great to welcome him back. A proud moment for him going out and getting involved in a training camp with his country but it’s good to have him back."

Brandon Goodship

"Touch wood he should be ok. He took part in training today so hopefully he’ll be available for Saturday."

Simeon Akinola

"Sim’s still a few weeks away with a little bit of a persistent injury at the moment.

"We’re very close to getting over it but we just need to be careful not to go too soon."

Harry Lennon

"We’re monitoring him daily but he’s getting stronger with each game. He’s looking fitter and stronger and he’s shown what a difference he’s made since coming back into the team.

"We’ll do our best to avoid having the surgery, but if it ever came to a point then we know that’s in the back of our minds that it might need to be done.

"At the moment he’s coping fine."
