ROOTS REVIEW: CAMBRIDGE UNITED

17 November 2020

Southend United are back at Roots Hall this weekend as they take on Cambridge United in Sky Bet League Two.

The matchday programme for the game focuses on Jason Demetriou, who recently made his 150th club appearance on Saturday.

Inside the matchday magazine, Demetriou speaks about the importance of the 1-0 win against Walsall last weekend and how it has boosted confidence levels amongst the players, as well as talking about how he almost retired from football altogether in the summer but is now reaping the rewards of the help from the backroom staff at the club.

The usual opposition preview is also featured with a look at the U's manager, recent form, and the history of the Cambridgeshire side.

Also included is an update from the Blues Academy, a look at the community projects provided by SUCET, a fan column from the Custard Splat podcast on the recent run of results, and SUFC History continue their in-depth write-up on the 100 years since Blues were elected to the Football League.

Once again, this copy will be produced to a schedule that allows for delivery before matchday if bought before midnight tonight (Tuesday 17th November), subject to Royal Mail service levels being maintained. Any orders that go through after cannot be guaranteed to arrive in time for the game.

The programme costs £3.00 plus P+P of £0.99 for postage to a UK address. Overseas deliveries will incur an increased P&P charge which will be calculated based on the delivery address.
