Southend United defender Tom Clifford spent time chatting with Prince Avenue Academy pupils this week via video call.
The Blues Academy graduate is the latest player to feature in Southend United Community & Educational Trust’s virtual Q&A series, following the success of a similar call with Harry Kyprianou and Temple Sutton Primary School pupils earlier this month.
Clifford took time out of his individual training programme to speak with the children, who were eager to learn more about the 21-year-old.
The left-back discussed what inspired him to become a professional footballer, his favourite part about playing for Blues, and what he gets up to away from the game.
He also touched on the benefits of his loan spell at Concord Rangers, as well as revealing who his footballing idol was growing up.
