Southend United can confirm that striker Tom Hopper has today completed a move to Lincoln City for an undisclosed fee.
Hopper joined Blues on a free transfer after his release from Scunthorpe United in the summer of 2018.
During his first season for Southend United he played 14 games and scored seven goals, before being cruelly struck with an ACL injury in October 2018 which kept him out for the remainder of the season.
Hopper returned to full action against Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park last October and marked his first start in nearly a year with a great finish in the opening 10 minutes.
This season Hopper scored three goals in 16 appearances, but it’s his work rate and tenacity that will be remembered by the Roots Hall faithful.
We thank Tom for his efforts at Southend United and wish him well for the future.
