More of the same.
That's the message from caretaker manager Gary Waddock heading into Saturday's meeting with Accrington Stanley.
Waddock watched his side put in an impressive display away at Stadium MK last week, coming away with a 1-0 win.
And on Thursday he met with the media to preview the visit of Stanley in Sky Bet League One. Here's what was covered.
Waddock on replicating the MK Dons performance…
"Yes, we have to be more consistent and the players' attitude and focus from that game has to continue on into Saturdays game.”
On our defending and keeping a clean sheet…
"That’s what got us the result in the end. In the second half they (MK Dons) had a lot of possession but as I said at the end of the game, the lads had to put their bodies on the line and defend as a group, and we’ll have to do the same again Saturday. So more of the same really!”
On having the chance to go level on points with Accrington…
"We want to just back up what we did last week. You can look at it however you want, but it’s simple, for us, we have to win football matches.
"We’re at home and we’d like to give our home supporters something to cheer about. I thought our away following last week was excellent, they were very vocal and got behind the team.”
On making changes to a winning side…
"We picked the team last weekend with players we felt could win the game and we will do the same this weekend with the players that we have available.
"You only get it right if you win the game. People say you shouldn’t change a winning side, but if you do and they do well then everybody’s happy. Whether that’s with the same team or making changes, we’ll all have to wait till 3 o’clock [on Saturday] to find out.”
On the challenge Accrington will present…
"It’s a different challenge and they’re a good side. They have been, over the last few years, a possession-based team and going back to when I have come up against them previously, they have played some good football.
"This year it has been a bit of a mixture, but we’re at home, we want to be on the front foot, we want to take the game to them. But, they’re very good on the counter attack also, so we have to be mindful of that and be secure when we have possession of the ball. But we're going out to get the win we're looking for at home.”
