Saturday marked the launch of another one of the club’s brand new schemes for this season.
This provides younger fans who are coming to Roots Hall for the first time with a memorable experience no matter what happens on the pitch!
Against Fleetwood there were four young fans who attended their first Southend United game.
They got their hands on a personalised certificate, signed by a first team player, as well as a first time fan badge.
William, Emma, Jayden and Vinnie all visited Roots Hall for the first time and they were presented with their certificates and badges by Sammy the Shrimp outside the Ticket Office before posing for a photo.
We want to know if you’re bringing someone under the age of 16 to a Southend game for the first time in the future so they can also have the occasion remembered in a special way.
Therefore, if you or someone you know are thinking about bringing a relative or friend to Roots Hall for the first time and you want to start the day out in the best way possible, fill out this form.

We are also offering many other chances to enhance fans matchday this season. We have the matchday experience offer, which incorporates behind the scenes access, meeting your favourite player pre-game or to celebrate a birthday in a way that they or you will never forget, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Another offer available to Junior Blue fans is the chance to read the Southend United team out at Roots Hall. The participant of Saturday’s fan announcer was James from Southend and Artie who read Fleetwood’s squad out. If you are a Junior Blue and are interested in this offer please email the matchday experience email for this.
