14 October 2019

A brief overview of the Southend players currently out on loan getting game time at their respective clubs.

Theo Robinson - Colchester United

Theo Robinson started for Colchester United in their 2-1 defeat away at Crawley Town. Robinson had a quiet game and was substituted for Jevani Brown after 70 minutes with the score still 1-1. Former Blues defender Luke Prosser scored the goal for the U’s.

Michael Klass - Bromley

The young midfielder started for the Ravens as they travelled to Birmingham to play Solihull Moors. Bromley slipped to their third defeat in four games as they lost 2-1 to The Moors. Klass started but was substituted after 55 minutes at 1-0 for Alfie Doughty.

Rob Howard - Dartford

Rob Howard started and played 90 minutes at right back for Dartford in their 1-0 away win at Oxford City which moved the Darts three points away from the relegation zone. Former Blues academy striker Norman Wabo was on the bench at Marsh Lane.

Tom Clifford - Concord Rangers

Clifford signed for Concord Rangers last week and was selected to start for the Beach Boys, playing the full 90 minutes in their 1-0 home defeat to Chippenham Town. Concord slipped to their third defeat in a row and now sit five points outside the play-offs.

O’Shane Stewart - Margate

On Friday the midfielder joined Isthmian Premier side Margate on loan and was selected to start in their league clash away at Haringey Borough. Stewart played the whole 90 minutes and was the brightest spark in the 1-0 defeat.

Zak Pianim - Brentwood Town

Zak Pianim started for Brentwood Town as they hosted Basildon United in an FA Trophy preliminary round match, a game that involved many former Blues players including Jason Williams. But it was Basildon United who progressed through to the next round with a 3-2 victory as Pianim played the full 90 minutes.

Jon Benton - Great Wakering Rovers

Great Wakering Rovers crashed out of the FA Trophy at the hands of free-scoring Westfield who have already registered eight and nine goals in separate games this season. After only signing last week, Benton scored the third on his full debut in the 5-3 defeat at Burroughs Park as he started and played the whole match.
