Over the course of next season, Southend United will travel 7,980 miles*.
The team and supporters wishing to be there at every away game will have to travel 220 miles more compared to the 2018/19 season with the furthest trip being to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland.
The Black Cats lost out to Charlton Athletic in the League One Play Off Final last weekend, and the journey to the North East clocks in at 584-miles round trip, while the shortest is a 90-mile trip to Gillingham and back.
With the likes of Luton Town, Barnsley and Charlton Athletic being promoted up to the Championship, we now have trips to Bolton Wanderers, Ipswich Town and Rotherham United to look forward to with these teams coming down from the Championship into League One.
We also lose some long-distance trips with the likes of Plymouth, Bradford and Scunthorpe, as well as Walsall, being relegated, but have gained some equally long journeys to Lincoln City, Bury and Tranmere Rovers, as well as MK Dons, who were all promoted from League Two.
It all means that Blues will spend more time on the road than they did last season.
