Amanda Balcomb and Keith Newquist will be representing Southend United when they take on an overnight 12-hour hike of the Peak District in July.
The scenic challenge is taking place to raise vital funds for Mind Charity, as the EFL's Official Charity Partner, and the services they offer.
The hike begins on Saturday 13 July, finishing on Sunday 14 July.
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and every year, 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem. That could be one person in every family, hundreds of football players and thousands of football fans. That’s why the EFL and Mind have come together to tackle mental health.
The trek will take place through the night and participants will be rewarded with stunning sunrise views and a well earnt buffet breakfast paired with a glass of fizz upon completion, but you can help them get through it by donating via the link here.
Their target has already been met but anything you can contribute to the cause will go a long way.
Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. They won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.
