The week is coordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service and is designed to celebrate apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
SUCET are proud to be able to offer apprenticeships in both community coaching and admin taking on eight coaching apprentices and two admin in 2018. All helping and playing a key part in achieving the trust's goal of engaging with one million people by 2026.
The community coaching apprenticeship consists of 30 hours a week going and delivering an array of sessions including going into different schools and community groups. While working towards a level 2 or 3 apprenticeships in school sport. We have had four other apprentices that have progressed on to full-time coaches and are now an integral part of the trust. They have had two apprentices progress on from a level 2 to a level 3 apprenticeship.
The admin apprentices are also key to the SUCET office when it comes to data and the day to day running of the trust. Another two admin apprentices have progressed on to full-time roles within the organization.
SUCET’s coaching apprentices have a combined total of 6480 hours coaching since September 2018 and the admin apprentices have carried out 2025 hours since September 2018.
On Thursday 11th April Southend United Community & Educational Trust are holding a coaching evening for people aged 16 – 25, 4pm-7pm, at Roots Hall Stadium.
This is a chance for young people to experience what it’s like to work for the Blues.
You will take part in a variety of activities such as session planning and practical tasks.
