Blues were on the end of a 2-1 defeat against Exeter City this morning in a behind closed doors friendly.
Exeter went ahead in the first half via Alex Fisher who converted from close range after a low Randell Williams cross found the Exeter man inside the box and he was able to give the Grecians the lead.
Stephen Humphrys scored his third goal in pre-season in the second half to draw Blues level but Jake Taylor scored from 30 yards out to give the League Two side the win.
Blues boss Kevin Bond said: "It was a good game and there were a lot of positives from our point of view.
"There were a lot of good things to come from it but of course it’s disappointing to lose any game, especially one you’ve pretty much been in control of.
"We gave Exeter one chance and they took it and then they scored a 30 yard rocket which you can’t really legislate for.
"But overall it was a good performance.
"Stephen Humphrys got another goal which is great for him and the midfield three of Mark Milligan, Dru Yearwood and Sam Mantom worked well.
"Nathan Ralph played the first half and was excellent and Brandon Goodship did well on the left too so I was happy with a lot of what I saw."
STARTING XI: Oxley, White, Kiernan, Lennon, Ralph, Milligan, Yearwood, Mantom, Robinson, Humphrys, Goodship.
