Doncaster Rovers vs Southend United...
Southend are quickly back in action this evening as they travel to the Keepmoat Stadium to take on promotion-chasing Doncaster Rovers.
Blues travel off the back of a gutsy performance against Charlton on Saturday and they’ll hope their recent good form on the road will help them end an eight-game winless run against Rovers.
Doncaster leapfrogged Peterborough and into the play-off places at the weekend after they came from behind to beat Posh 3-1 at the Keepmoat.
And boss Grant McCann is determined not to let Sunday’s huge Emirates FA Cup tie against Crystal Palace cloud their focus on what would be another important three points for them tonight.

7th October 2017: Doncaster Rovers (Marquis, Whiteman 3) 4 vs 1 (Wordsworth) Southend United
Blues boss Chris Powell will be forced into making at least one change this evening as Dru Yearwood misses out through suspension following his red card against Charlton on Saturday.
Powell may even look to freshen things up further after his side played over an hour with 10 men at The Valley with the likes of Harry Lennon gunning for a start after he returned from injury.
Sam Hart is expected to be fit after he was taken off as a precaution following a knock to his knee against Charlton while Stephen Hendrie will certainly be out after undergoing a hernia operation.
Grant McCann has no fresh injury concerns following Saturday’s win against Peterborough with goalkeeper Ian Lawlor Rovers’ only long-term absentee.
Defender Joe Wright is working his way back to fitness but isn’t expected to feature tonight while midfielder Kieran Sadlier is pushing for his first league start after scoring against the Posh.
Chris Powell, Southend United Manager:
“Grant McCann has done well with them throughout the season. They’ve got a big game on Sunday against Crystal Palace but I think they see this as bigger, possibly.
“I know it’s a great lift for them and they haven’t been in the 5th Round for a very long time, but I think, because of the position they’re in, they will look to do their best to keep their form going because it’s a bonus game against Crystal Palace.
“We’ve both got different things to think about but it’s about this game and it’s about us looking after James Coppinger, Mallik Wilks and John Marquis; they have a style that hasn’t changed and we’ve got to make sure we’re ready for that.”
Grant McCann, Doncaster Rovers Manager:
“This is one of those games that is so easy for people to forget about because they’re looking ahead to the cup game on Sunday but not us, we’re aware of how important this game is.
“If we beat Southend United that will put us in a really healthy position in the league, but to win the game, we have to perform well.
“We’re coming up against a Southend United team who are very good, they went to Bradford and beat them 4-0 and drew with Charlton when they were down to 10 men, so they’ve picked up some really good results away from home so we’re under no illusions as to how tough the match will be.”
