Sol Campbell faced the media on Wednesday for his pre-Bolton press conference.
The Blues boss gave updates on the availability of some members of the squad.
"He didn’t train [today] so we’re going to give him as much time as possible.
"The next 48 hours is going to give us a pretty good idea of where he’s at to maybe start or come off the bench.
"We’ve got to see how it is in the next few days.
"He’s been coming into his own lately and gives us a lot up front with his running ability and his work rate so we want to give him enough time to make it.”
"Macca is fine now. Hopefully the inflammation in his ankle has dissipated and gone now.”
"He trained today so he is fine which is good.”
"He had a little bit of work but not with the team. He was put through his paces by himself so he should be OK to fully train on Friday.”
"He’s definitely having an operation and it’s going to be four-six months.”
Any other issues
"Just the usual niggles but hopefully we can get over them. There’s no new injuries.”
