Kevin Bond is set to take charge of his first home game as Blues boss and with this in mind, we have looked at Gareth Ainsworth's squad and picked out three key players that could play a crucial part in the match...
Akinfenwa is a player most people know as one of the strongest in any of the leagues across the English football pyramid. He is Wycombe’s joint leading goal scorer in all competitions with six, with all but one of them coming in the league so far and one of which came in the reverse of this fixture earlier on in the season; that game finished 3-2 to Southend. Akinfenwa is also leading the assists for Wycombe this season with seven in all competitions and six of those coming in the league, so he is certainly one of Wycombe’s dangermen in this fixture.
Scott Kashket joined Wycombe in 2016 on a free transfer coming from Leyton Orient, he’s made 64 appearances for Wycombe in total scoring 23 goals and six of those goals coming this season in all competitions with three of them coming in the league. His last goal game in Wycombe’s 3-2 defeat to Portsmouth on the 6th April. The 23-year-old is also statistically Wycombe’s most clinical player in front of goal this season, Kashket has an average of 0.36 goals per 90 minutes played which is the best out of their squad by a large margin.
Defender Michael Harriman has played in all the English Football divisions over his eight years in professional football making over 247 career appearances so far, with 158 of them coming for Wycombe. The Chairboys defender signed permanently from Queens Park Rangers in January 2016 after having two loan spells at the club previously. Harriman was also one of their main reasons for gaining promotion back to League One last season. The Irishman has played 23 games this season with 19 coming in the league, the 26-year-old is also Wycombe’s best defender this season based on statistics in somewhat of a troubled season so far having a 16% clean sheet ratio when playing.
