Tom Hopper netted his fifth goal of the season against Wycombe Wanderers meaning the striker has a form of one goal per two games...
His form is one that Chris Powell was full of praise for following the win and if the 24-year-old keeps up the run all season he could tally up a number of goals.
But for the time being Hopper's head is fully focused on the present and on helping Blues to gain points against tough opposition.
On the Wycombe win
We were comfortable for 80 minutes, obviously until they (Wycombe) got their first but we executed the game plan, we are ultimately pleased to take home three points, but we did make it hard for ourselves.
We have to ride out the storm and the boys have done great to keep that back door shut so we are pleased we have built on last week; our first back-to-back wins and we want to keep progressing.
On the game plan
We knew exactly what they were all about, we worked hard all week and we knew that they wouldn’t stop going at us from the get-go and they did that.
The boys stood up to it, we scored three great goals and we were comfortable, like I said a little bit nervy in the final 10 minutes, more than we wanted to but we look back it and it’s three points.
On his goalscoring form
All our strikers want to score goals, you know we’ve all worked hard all game and we got our rewards with a goal each and the boys in the team have done well to create those goals.
I’m almost making a little habit out of getting into close positions to score which is nice.
It’s something I subconsciously wanted to do this season and it’s important to make sure I get into them goalscoring positions and today Coker’s put the chance on a plate for me and I’m delighted to have got on the scoresheet.
