Moore: "It’s a clean sheet and we move on from here"

8 October 2018

Taylor Moore spoke to iFollow Blues following the 0-0 draw with Oxford United.

Blues were unable to break down a stern U's side who are struggling at the bottom of the table.

This is what on-loan defender Moore had to say following the draw.

On the point against Oxford…

With the run that we’ve been on in the last few games and how we have been doing as a team, we all came here wanting the three points and towards the end of the game we were pushing but unfortunately with the conditions it did make it difficult for us. We have to look at it as a clean sheet, a point and we move on from here.

And it extends our unbeaten run as well…

And we’ve played some difficult teams in those games and come out on top, but today was a bit frustrating to a certain degree because the situation that Oxford have been in we definitely wanted a win, but like I said it’s a clean sheet and we move on from here.

On coming up against a side that set up not to lose…

Yeah I think from the very first few minutes they set their tempo and were looking for a point. They didn’t really expand themselves too much and we were on top. Unfortunately, the injury to John White meant we had to change formation and after that I don’t think we got our game going as much as we would have liked. Like I said the conditions were very difficult but we need to learn from it and move on.

On the next game against Colchester United in the Checkatrade Trophy…

The staff made it very clear that every game is important, so whatever team is out there on Tuesday has to get the win and wants to get the win and then we’ve got Gillingham Saturday so we’ve got some interesting games coming up.
