The Shrimpers Trust will be holding a Chinese Night on Monday 26th March 2018 at East, 33 Alexandra Street, Southend on Sea.
The event held in collaboration with Southend United and SUCET is in aid of the campaign working to raise money (£5,000 target) for a new wheelchair for one of our most loyal followers.
Liam Callaghan, 24, who lives in Shoebury, suffers with Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy and is in dire need of a power-assisted wheelchair.
Quadriplegia cerebral palsy affects all four limbs of Liam's body, making it hard for him to walk for long periods of time, write and it also affects his speech.
Liam, pictured here helping to clear the snow before the Walsall game, was diagnosed with cerebral palsy before he turned one.
Recently, life has become more of a struggle for both him and his mum, Maureen. He is now becoming too heavy to manoeuvre around in his wheelchair on a day to day basis and simple tasks are now becoming much harder to complete.
Donations have started really well and it would be great if we could push this target over the edge and make a real difference to one of our own in his hour of need.
The evening begins at 7.00pm and the cost will be £15.00 per person for an 'all you can eat' buffet.
The Shrimpers Trust welcome Members and Non Members alike so why not come along for some good food and chat.
