Three threats in the Portsmouth squad that Kenny Jackett will bring to Roots Hall on Saturday...
Summer signing Brett Pitman took no time at all to settle into life at Fratton Park.
His two goals on the opening day of the season were a sign of things to come as the 30-year-old has gone onto score 14 goals in all competitions.
The fact that one of those 14 goals has come in 2018 shows how impressive his first half of the season was.
Prior joining Pompey Pitman was at Ipswich Town for two years and before that netted more than 100 goals during two spells with the Cherries and helped them reach the Premier League for the first time in their history.
The Pompey youth product is continuing to shine in the first team.
The 20-year-old was handed his first team debut in 2014, making nine appearances and scoring one goal in his breakthrough season.
Fast forward to now and the prolific goal scorer has amassed over 100 appearances for Portsmouth scoring 22 league goals, of which five have come this season.
His last two goals have come in his last two games (v MK Dons & Blackburn) the forward is certainly in form.
Portsmouth secured the services of one of their prized assets this week by nailing Matt Clarke down to a new deal until 2020.
The centre back made his 100th and 101st appearances for Pompey this past week before signing a new contract on Wednesday.
Clarke spent a season on loan at Pompey in 2015/16 before completing a permanent switch from Ipswich and last season helped the club in their promotion from League Two.
