Freddie Ladapo is looking forward to his return to Oldham this weekend but is focussed on three points for Southend United.
The striker, who moved to Blues in the January transfer window, kept his place in the side after the 0-0 draw at Bury for last weekend’s win against Portsmouth.
And he said he’s settled in well and hopes to help the team's good form continue against the Latics.
“You learn just by playing games and the longer you get the more you get to do on the pitch, so I’ve been loving it,” said Ladapo.
“The gaffer has been wonderful, he’s helped us, he’s coached us, he’s spoken to us and given us the confidence to go and do what we need to do and express ourselves.
“The form that we’ve had is through the hard work and the manager organising us and making sure we’re doing everything he wants us to.
“Hopefully we can go to Oldham and do the same thing again.”
On his time at the SportsDirect.com Park, Ladapo said: “I spent six months there and it was a good experience for me, so I’m looking forward to it.
“I still have friends there like Ousmane Fane so it will be good to go back and them.
“It was my first football league loan so I had a bit of a tough time settling in but once I got the grasp of it I enjoyed it and it helped me moving on in my career.”
