Take a look inside tomorrow’s Roots Review

21 December 2018

Saturday’s Official Matchday Programme features Mark Oxley who is set to become a centurion in Southend blue.

The goalkeeper, who is also chasing a clean sheet record that spans all four divisions in England this calendar year, will make his 100th appearance in a Southend United shirt if he features against Rochdale.

He says in the programme: “It’s obviously a great achievement and something that I’m proud of doing. I’ve still got another two years after this year as well, so I’ve hopefully got many more to come.”

Read more from Oxley about that as well as trying to end the year top with the most clean sheets in England; Blues are currently on 18 alongisde Liverpool.

Also included this week, we get to know more about Taylor Curran as we put him under the spotlight to answer the 'Getting to Know' questions, while Stephen Hendrie tells us more about his team mates.

@SUFC_History continue to go through the little-known history of Southend United, there's also a round-up from the recent U18 and U23s games and our visitors, Rochdale, are profiled.

Programmes will be on sale for £3 from the sellers around the ground and at half-time on Saturday, and they are also on sale right now from the Main Ticket Office.

Make sure you don’t miss out!
